Using double-layer woven cotton with deep, thick pleats, PRL Motorsports oil filters enhance the filtering surface by 10% to 15%, allowing for more air to enter the combustion chamber while still providing excellent filtration. Particles as fine as 5 microns can be captured by this cotton filter. Each filter has a stainless steel mesh covering to protect it from dents and to increase its strength, ensuring that your PRL Motorsports air filter will withstand even the most extreme circumstances!

The inside parts of each filter are joined by the rubber base utilizing a four-step, low-pressure injection molding method. Contrary to other production techniques, which can restrict airflow by up to 25%, our procedure nearly eliminates rubber seepage for optimal airflow and aesthetics. Our elastic rubber base provides a reliable, airtight seal, dampens noise, and withstands millions of heating and cooling cycles. A specially formulated, lightweight filter lubricant forms an ionic bond with the stainless steel filter mesh and is meant to be friendly to car sensors. With the cotton remaining clear for maximum airflow, this positive charge repels negatively (-) charged dust particles from entering the filter and causes them to adhere to the stainless steel mesh.
